Guayabo en Acuarelas

Guayaba is a very Colombian fruit. We have deserts, juices, jams and much more come from it. The flavor of the fruit itself is, personally, not my favorite. But when I go shoppoing for fruits and vegetables, it’s fragrance is such I can’t help but feel enraptured by it.

Guayabo is what this fruit’s tree would be called. And I felt isnpired by it to create this particular textile design.

La guayaba es una fruta bastante Colombiana. De ella salen postres, jugos, mermeladas y muchos alimentos más. Personalmente, el sabor de la fruta en sí, no es uno de mis favoritos, pero el aroma que se extiende por los pasillos de los mercados de frutas cuando voy de compras, es absoluta y positivamente intoxicante para mí.

El Guayabo, es como tal el nombre del árbol y fue la fuente principal de inspiración para este diseño.

This design is a ver loose personal interpretation of what the Guayabo and its flowers look like. It belongs to the ‘Watercolor Nature’ Creative Project, where I, quite literally, reinterpreted several wildflowers in my own very personal and fun way with digital watercolors.

Este diseño es una re-interpretación muy personal del Guayabo y sus flores. Pertenece al proyecto creativo ‘Naturaleza en Acuarelas’, para el cual, literalmente me dediqué a re-interpretar en mi propio estilo, flores silvestres con acuarelas digitales.
